GIVING OUT OF YOUR LOVE

If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him

two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do

not turn away from the one who wants to borrow

from you.

I cannot believe how much others expect of me. Today I will face the demands of family, coworkers, and others who need my time. When I answer my door, I know it will be someone who wants something from me. Save me from my first reaction, which is to shut down, or shut that door. Allow me to go above and beyond what people are asking of me. You will give me the strength and ability to do so. I need not worry about my own shortcommings.

Today, I will come to you and ask to borrow the patience, kindness, and love I need to go that extra mile.

(I truly hope that you have been enjoying these posts and that they have been helping you in some way. Unfortunately ll things must end so that others may begin. So, in the interest of progress my posts tomorrow and Sunday will be the last from this book here. Instead you will be able to find them posted on the website in a new section we are setting up for Lent.
